Infraquinta Meeting Monday 26th September

Footpaths     The condition of the footpaths in Salinas is deteriorating. Rather than attempt repairs Infraquinta will lay new calçada paths. For financial reasons work will not start until next year.

Ria Formosa Access    All the organisations contacted are following up the problems caused by restricted access. Infraquinta hopes to provide a more suitable bridge.

Street Lamps   We were told that the cable has been removed from the car park street lamp and that Aguas do Algarve removed the lamp by the tennis courts. Infraquinta will provide new lamps but the need for new cables will delay installation. If you notice a problem with any of the street lamps near you please contact Infraquinta.

Manhole Covers   We have provided Infraquinta with a map of the noisy covers and asked them to solve the problem (Update: Work started 28th Sept)

Pine Tree    The pine tree growing through the footpath between 59 and 75 will be removed because its roots are damaging the drains

Litter Bin   Infraquinta agreed to install a litter bin at the car park entrance to the Ria Formosa

Approach to Salinas   CML  will be contacted about litter along the verges of the road leading to Salinas. If necessary Infraquinta will do the work themselves.

Landscaping   The meeting with the landscaping staff will take place next month

Update 15th September

Landscaping
Landscaping of the three areas is due to start again in October. There will be a meeting in early October with those responsible before work commences.

Ria Formosa Access
Following our last meeting with Infraquinta we wrote to them about our concern that access to the Ria Formosa was being limited, particularly by the position of boundary fences in Salinas Clube. They in turn have contacted Camara Municipal Loule, Regiao Hidrografica (responsible for controlling access in coastal areas) Parque Nacional de Ria Formosa and the GNR.
We have asked Infraquinta if they will carry out  repairs to the "bridge" which allows Salinas owners to walk round to Quinta do Lago.

We are arranging a further meeting with Infraquinta to follow up issues raised in our June meeting
